I saw Mike Doughty perform and he was as awesmazing1 as ever. While it doesn't bother me, it is nonetheless somewhat strange that the oddball Doughty now has a sound that enables him to do shows presented by KFOG, the local station that plays more Tracy Chapman per capita than any other entity, real or imagined. Seriously, I once purchased a 5-CD changer boombox, put 5 Tracy Chapman CDs in it, staple-gunned the door to the changer shut, and left the thing on shuffle-repeat for a full year and a half. It still played less Tracy Chapman than KFOG. A lot less.

Anyway, the Doughty show was over and I was outside the club by 10:43pm. I have to go to work in the morning, so I really appreciated that. I don't think any currently scheduled PFSH shows have us slated to go onstage before 10:43pm, much less to be finished by then. I think that will be my goal for any show I book for the band in November or December: PFSH offstage by 10:43pm!

1The term awesmazing was used by Doughty during his performance. I only wish I were clever enough to have coined it myself.
